Car prices in Vietnam dropping by 100 million is impressive, but Tesla reducing by 500 million in just 3 months – Elon Musk’s madness or another stroke of genius from ‘Iron Man’?
Following the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Iron Man quickly became one of the most beloved superheroes both on the big screen and in the comic book world. Despite not possessing any superpowers, his genius intellect and creatively advanced armor have made the wealthy, multi-talented playboy a cornerstone of the Avengers as well as many other superhero teams.
However, there is an Iron Man armor version that could easily turn him into one of the most formidable characters in the Marvel universe, with even Captain Marvel being wary.
Specifically, in the story chapter “Invincible Iron Man #16” by Gerry Duggan, Juan Frigeri, and Bryan Valenza, Tony Stark will unveil the Mark 72 armor, made from Mysterium – a mutated metal with the ability to resist magic, counteract spells, and harbor terrifying power. Iron Man, or more precisely Mysterium Man, quietly collected Mysterium with the help of his wife Emma Frost to create the ultimate weapon in the fight against the Orchis organization, especially the villain Feilong.
Previously, Stark and Frost had failed against Feilong and his Stark Sentinels, which comprised the most advanced technologies today. The billionaire understood that to turn the tide, he needed the strongest, most prestigious armor he ever created. And immediately, Stark thought of Mysterium. This metal is mined from space by S.W.O.R.D. members, with exceptionally strong properties, capable of resisting magic and, especially, various types of radiation.
In reality, radiation resistance is perhaps the most important function of the Mark 72 armor, as Feilong, Stark’s adversary, possesses many radiation-based abilities. Additionally, the hardness of Mysterium is also a noteworthy advantage, as even Captain Marvel, one of the mightiest characters in the Marvel universe, cannot bend or deform it.
Mark 72 can be seen as Stark’s two-birds-with-one-stone solution, both helping him defeat Feilong and reclaim his giant empire, while also aiding Emma Frost in bringing down Orchis once and for all. Since their failure, the Stark couple has had to continuously operate in secrecy and face many challenges in opposing their enemies due to technological and power deficiencies. While Stark had to pretend to be a fallen billionaire, Frost even had to change her identity to ensure her safety.
Now, with the Mark 72 armor, both are ready for the impending battle to stop Feilong and, beyond that, the Orchis organization, and to bring an end to the Fall of the House of X event. The outcome of this battle will likely be revealed when the “Invincible Iron Man #16” issue is released on March 20.
