In a recent interview on VladTV, Dawkins didn’t mince words when expressing his disdain for the Jets. “I hate them. All of them, bro,” Dawkins declared passionately. He went on to criticize the Jets players, accusing them of prioritizing image over the love of the game, stating, “those are a bunch of dudes that just want to take pictures on Instagram. That’s whack.”

The animosity between the two teams isn’t new, with decades of history contributing to the fierce rivalry. Dawkins, who has faced off against the Jets throughout his seven-year NFL career with the Bills, pointed to a specific incident during a Week 11 matchup as fueling his hostility.

Following a 32-6 victory for the Bills, tensions escalated in the tunnel, with Dawkins singling out Jets defensive end Michael Clemons for his behavior during the game. According to Dawkins, Clemons crossed the line by directing obscenities at Bills players, including quarterback Josh Allen.

Expressing his protective instincts towards Allen, Dawkins emphasized, “First of all, why are you talking to my quarterback? Don’t talk to my quarterback.” This protective stance culminated in Dawkins confronting Clemons on the field, resulting in a fine for unnecessary roughness and a heated altercation in the tunnel post-game.

Despite his strong words, Dawkins did acknowledge his respect for a few individuals within the Jets organization, including defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and former head coach Todd Bowles.

As the Bills continue their dominance in the AFC East, Dawkins remains unapologetic about his disdain for the Jets, signaling that the rivalry shows no signs of cooling off anytime soon.
